Coffee Cherry Tea: Roasted and Spice Scented
This cascara tea is made from the dried skins of red coffee cherries produced through the natural, or unwashed, coffee process. The cascara is roasted, ground, and blended with cardamom, nutmeg, and cloves.
Flavor Profile
The tea is described as having notes of orange peel, hibiscus, peach juice, grapefruit, honey, and lemon.
Hot Preparation
- Use 10 grams (0.35 ounces) of the tea blend.
- Add 200 milliliters (7 fluid ounces) of water at approximately 96°C (205°F).
- Cover and steep for 6 minutes.
- Stir and serve.
- Add honey or ice if desired.
Cold Brew
Steep the blend in cold water in the refrigerator for approximately 24 hours, then strain and serve.
