Natural processing

The process begins with alcoholic fermentation and continues with sun drying while the fruit remains around the seed. Keeping the skin and pulp intact during fermentation and drying influences the coffee seed, contributing greater density and new cupping notes.

Roasted at origin

Café Torino is roasted in Matagalpa. It was developed in response to coffee consumers from Italy and the United States who wanted a dark roast with intense chocolate notes.

The coffee combines Caturra and Red Catuaí grown in the El Arenal reserve area of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. It is presented as an Italian roast based on natural drying in the fruit.

Direct trade

The coffee is processed and roasted at origin by EsquinaDeLosCafes in Matagalpa.
