Cupcakes
Cupcakes – Middle Eastern Cake
Makes approximately 20 cupcakes.
Ingredients
- 200 g Chocomatagalpa Gluhwein
- 150 g butter, melted
- 16 g yeast
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 160 ml milk
- Eggs; the source does not specify the quantity
- Optional chopped fruit, such as apple or banana
- Icing sugar, for finishing
Method
- Combine the Chocomatagalpa Gluhwein and yeast in a bowl.
- Add the melted butter and milk, then whisk until combined.
- Add the honey and eggs. Continue stirring until thoroughly incorporated.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag and divide it among cupcake molds on a baking sheet. A food-safe bag with one corner cut off may also be used.
- If adding fruit, cut it into small pieces and distribute it among the molds.
- Fill each mold halfway with batter.
- Bake at 200°C for approximately 15 minutes.
- Let the cupcakes cool, then sprinkle them with icing sugar.
The same mixture may alternatively be baked together in a baking dish as a loaf-style cake.
