Glühwein-ChocoMatagalpa Recipes

Hot ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein Shake

  1. Beat an egg into the dry mixture, add softened butter and mix until a homogeneous dough forms.
  2. Knead by hand, shape into a ball, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to a thickness of about 5 mm.
  4. Cut with festive cookie cutters and arrange on a baking-paper-lined tray.
  5. Bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes, or until golden.
  6. Cool before decorating with chocolate and icing.

  • 170 g butter
  • 21 g sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100 g Vienna 72% cocoa chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein
  • Amaretto, rum or whiskey
  • Cookies and optional nuts or walnuts
  1. Beat the butter and sugar together.
  2. Add the whole egg and mix well, followed by the egg yolk.
  3. Melt the chocolate over low heat and mix it into the butter base.
  4. Add the ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein, preferred liqueur, cookies and optional nuts.
  5. Place the mixture on paper and form it into a cylinder.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator or freezer until firm, then wrap in foil and cut into slices.

ChocoMatagalpa Cupcakes

Yield: approximately 20.

  • 200 g ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein
  • 150 g butter
  • 16 g yeast
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 160 ml milk
  • Eggs, as called for in the original method
  • Optional chopped apple, banana or other fruit
  • Icing sugar and mint leaves for serving
  1. Combine the ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein and yeast.
  2. Add melted butter and milk, then mix thoroughly.
  3. Add the honey and eggs, stirring until integrated.
  4. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and half-fill the molds. Add chopped fruit if desired.
  5. Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.
  6. Cool, dust with icing sugar and optionally garnish with mint.

ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein Cake

  • 340 g butter
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 5 eggs
  • 600 g ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and butter a 20 cm (8-inch) baking dish.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add the vanilla.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Combine the ChocoMatagalpa Glühwein with the baking powder and fold it into the batter.
  5. Pour into the prepared dish and bake for about 60 minutes.
  6. Check that the top is firm and that a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean before removing the cake from the oven.
